Please follow the path to the church at KM 84.5 and when you see it, there you turn!
We have a large sign indicating the right way to El Refugio
From CDMX:
Exit Insurgentes Norte, take booths to Pirámides Teotihuacán, Tuxpan-Veracruz highway. You continue without entering Tulancingo towards the Tejocotal lagoon. Pass the booth 10kms ahead, take the detour to Nuevo Necaxca Libre. Go over the top and take federal highway 119 to the right, direction Puebla-Apizaco-Zacatlán. Pass Ahuazotepec, Piedras Encimadas, Las Lajas Metepec and at Km. 84.5 there is the El Refugio sign and turn left. 1.5 Kms of dirt road, signposted path.
From Puebla:
Tlaxcala Highway, Apizaco. Before Tlaxco, take El highway Tejocotal and exit at the Chignahuapan booth, federal highway 119 towards Zacatlán and at 13 Kms, at Km 84.5, there is the sign El Refuge
